God Needs You In the Tribulation
I have good
news for you! If you are one who is of understanding,
and you know your God, you can be a great asset for true Christianity during
the Tribulation.
What, that
doesn't sound so good to you? Why
not? Would it not be an honor to be one
who helps others who don't understand what's going on during the final years
that we have? Okay, so I'll probably
have to convince you, but that's pretty easy if you have an open mind. This is one of my favorite passages about the
time when the Antichrist shows up, and I keep getting more and more out of it:
“32:
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries:
but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33: And they that understand among
the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame,
by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34: Now when they shall fall, they
shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall
cleave to them with flatteries.
35: And some of them of understanding
shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time
of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” Daniel 11:32-35 KJV
Here's some
of the stuff I get from this passage:
I have good
news and bad news. The good news is that
I know many people aren't doing wickedly against the covenant, although many
are as well. I also know many people do
know their God and I'm thankful for that.
However when it comes to understanding, there is a drastic drop-off,
because so many people have bought into the Pre-Trib Rapture lie. They aren't going to understand what is going
on because they've placed their hope in an escape rather than redemption after
purging. Dying for Christ really isn't
bad news, but because we're so comfortable here in
With all
that in mind, should we want to be raptured or stay here? Here's an interesting passage of how Paul
thought about things like this:
“23:
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with
Christ; which is far better:
24: Nevertheless to abide in the
flesh is more needful for you.
25: And having this confidence, I
know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy
of faith;” Philippians
Paul wanted
to go Home, but he realized that staying here was necessary for the good of
others. It should be the same for us,
while Heaven would be wonderful, it's worth us staying and suffering for the
sake of others – those who won't understand and will need guidance. Now it is true that most will not listen and
literally billions of people are going to go to Hell, but even one that makes
Heaven is worth it.
So we must
lay aside our desires for Heaven and work here on Earth, that some may hear and
understand. It's not popular, but it is
the truth.
