Lucifer (Satan) was origionally an angel for God. He had the highest position in heaven under God, guarding the throne of God. Unfortunately, pride filled him and he thought he could be God, take over heaven, and rule the universe. Many angels joined him, but he was kicked out of heaven by God.
Hell, and ultimately the lake of fire was created for Satan and his angels who fell with him. He was cast onto the earth, which is his domain and kingdom. He conned the original two humans, Adam and Eve into sinning so that he could be in control of the world.
Satan hates you with a vengence. He will do almost anything so that you will join him in his destruction, but know this: anyone who follows him, directly or indirectly will go with him to the lake of fire for eternity.
